Did January go by insanely fast for anyone else? Does anyone know of a good performance exhaust shop that will work with stainless rods? The closer to Denton, the better. |

Actually it was rather slow for me. Half of it was just waiting for the 850 to be done, though. That, I'm sure, had plenty to do with it. |

I think I might take welding classes at NCTC over the somemer or maybe in the fall. I've always wanted to learn how to do it, but haven't had the time/cash. Anyone here know how to weld? EDIT: WTF? Why does the word filter change "s-u-m-m-e-r" to "somemer" ?

Yah, a little bit. I can do stick and wire-feed. Pretty easy. Sign up for the class, that would be fun! |

tranny oil, motor oil?... alot or a little? so today i went to get my tires rotated and balanced.. only to find out that one of my rims has a bend.. ok not a prob, just do the rest and leave that one alone. then they tell me that a few of the lugs on 2 wheels are "too tight" "we can't take them off".. i looked at them like WTF.. so ask if i can get them free will they do it.. they say ok.. i go home, pull out my 18in breaker bar, slap a pipe on it, a few hard pulls and they pop free.. so i go back to embarrass them and still ask why they could not do it in a shop, when i did it at my house with simple hand tools. they still had no answer for me except "i am over 200lbs and i was jumping on the floor jack bar and they would not budge". i am barely 130lbs and i was able to do it (i guess the gym is paying off ) by the time i went back they were packed and i only had about a hour to wait, because of prior commitments. so i am going back tom, hopefully without all the excuses../RANT AH BOOST...MY ANTI-STRESS Edited by Echo, Feb 9 2010, 09:44 PM.

Pick up some UV dye from O'Reillys. Put in oil. Use black light. See leak. Win. |

Hey guys! It's been a while and Erik had to call me to make sure I was still alive, lol, but here I am again. Jan and Dec both went by very fast for me. I had been making some good/fast progress on the 444 towards the end of last year finally, but then I took a bit of a break to deal with holidays and starting a new job. I think I'm finally going to get back into it again some time this next week or two. Gotta finish up the wiring, put some final details together on the HVAC system, new starter, new battery, and then make sure it all still works properly. Once that's done it should be able to get inspected and the next priorities will be mostly body-related work (like welding in new floor panels under the back seat where the sway bar ripped them apart). Hopefully I'll be able to get it back on the road and up to Houston (not sure if it's ready for a trip as far as Dallas yet) for some events.

Yeah, I changed it. It was set so that a partial match for "sum" would be changed to "some". Progress on the Saab is coming along nicely. I picked up a used GS 3" SS downpipe for it, which will be mated to a 2.5" BSR cat-back system. I bought a new TV recently as well. Doesn't it bug the hell out of you guys when you buy something for what you consider a good price on Amazon and then a week later, the price drops $100? Yeah, that happened. EDIT: Make that $114. Meh, still $300 cheaper than Best Buy. Also, no tax. Edited by WhiteT5, Feb 11 2010, 09:46 AM.
