Just a quick update on this. I e-mailed ATP Turbo about it and expected them to say "too bad, so sad" and give me an RMA number for it. I just got an e-mail from them saying that they are going to make a custom clamp for me and send it to me, free of charge . If they follow through on this, I will almost certainly be a repeat customer at some point in the future if I need something turbo-related.

This I was told to be normal as well, my 850R I had the same exact question. But Aaron indicated that everything is fine! |

Well I just went up there to get something out of the back of it, and that's pretty much what he said too. Probably just condensation. I had just never seen that before on a dipstick on any car I've ever owned. Still, doesn't explain the smoke and the oil leak. But at least now it's not as serious. |

Well, we figured out it was one of the various lines coming in or out of the turbo. I don't really know which one. But on Monday she should be running perfectly. |

Success!![]() If you need turbo components, do not hesitate to go with ATP. They have been professional, prompt, and courteous the whole time despite the fact that I spent just a few dollars on a measly clamp and some downpipe nuts. |

nice lil clamp there.. that's what i am talking about.. been a crazy week thus far for me... did a lil tour de texas LOL. i went up to austin sat.. then to houston that night.. got a call on sunday from my parents who were in lousiana, saying that my grandfather fell and hurt himself and they couldn't get back to town till monday, so i dropped everything and hauled ass back to SA to be with him in the ER till 4am monday morning. got home bout 5am to shower and get a few hours of sleep; then headed back to the hospital round 9 till 10 that night till my parents arrived.. Hes got a fractured hip joint so as of now it looks like 1-2 months of rehab for him.... in car news, i never had overboost in my car, the cause was a faulty vac sending unit. a simple mechanically unit showed perfect boost just fine. i extended the wires to my Rear O2, because i had 3 codes for it and my MPG was shit. plugged it in, no more codes, however it unknowingly put the car into limp mode.. now i need to fix that, at least its not anything worse. Got a set of Samcos and T-Bolts on the way.. and i have some extra cash that is possibly going to be used for some projectors with HIDs or possibly R Bumpaa, or what the hell R mani... /Rant |
