I don't know if I am posting in the right place but I am looking for a shop to check out and if necessary repair a 240 head. Any recommendations?

thanks

Well, I took my 945's head to Long Racing Engines (as recommended by Nick) and haven't had any problems. They didn't remove the two temp sensors in it (I was wanting to replace them) but those things pretty much weld themselves in, especially if it overheats.

Err, actually, I guess it depends also on what type of repair you need. My head got rebuilt. Nothing really major.

Why do you need the head checked? Did you heat it up? Is it off the car? Is the car driveable? Our shop is pretty good with rwd Volvos

suspected warp, had some overheating, never into the red. found a leak at the joint for the head and the block. redid head gasket still leaking. head is still on. I was thinking of getting a junk yard head and having it checked out before I install it. I can't leave the car in an nonrunning state on the street.

What shop are you?

actually its fixed, the thermostat was leaking and making it look like it was seeping at the head.
